MAURICE DOTSON

West Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Austin, TX

Maurice Dotson was a kind and humble person who always put others first. He loved his family, friends, and all of the nursing home residents he cared for over the years. Almost every morning, Mr. Dotson posted on Facebook with thanks to God, even when he was suffering from COVID. Throughout his life, Mr. Dotson never had much money to spare but he did not complain, and shared what he could with his mother and sisters.  Mr. Dotson was only seventeen years old when began working in nursing homes with his mother. Nursing home residents loved him, and Mr. Dotson often said, "If I don’t take care of them, who will?”
