DEBORAH COUGHLIN, RN

Nurse Supervisor, Several Nursing Homes, Hartford Area, CT

After raising six daughters, Deborah went back to school to study nursing at age 55. She eventually had 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She loved her pets, trips to Florida, shopping, the beach, pink lipstick, cozy fleece blankets, fuzzy socks, praying in the sunshine, giving to others, and spending time with her family. In September 2019, she and her husband enjoyed a romantic trip to Greece. Deborah sparkled with colorful pizzazz and her personality evoked laughter, joy, and a spice for life.

ARTIST: ERIKA CHRISTENSEN is a trained Portrait artist. She was a studio art major at William Smith College (1987-1991) and earned a Diploma in Portraiture from Heatherley’s School of Fine art in London, England (1996-1999). She has been doing portraits by commission for over 25 years. In the past few years, her love of capturing a likeness has extended to dogs. She does many pet portraits today. She donates her work frequently to organizations and enjoys enriching other peoples lives, as she is able to, through her drawings and paintings.
