SARAH RONCSKEVITZ
Medical Social Worker, Kaiser San Francisco Emergency Department
Sarah was a medical social worker in the emergency room at Kaiser. A colleague said about Sarah, "Early on, Sarah's work epitomized the mix of talent, skill, knowledge and promotion of equity and justice that mark an experienced social worker. She overcame great obstacles to pursue her career in social work, many benefitted from her advocacy and open-hearted, skillful practice. She had a well of compassion and a practice wisdom beyond her years." Sarah's field instructor Jane Tran remembers, "Her personality radiated warmth and generosity toward any one she came in contact with. Her passing is an enormous loss to our community, and I will miss her smile so much." Sarah was a graduate of UC Berkeley's MSW program. She is survived by her two young children, her fiancé, parents, brother, and sister.
