EDWIN MONTANANO, RN
Nurse, Hudson County Correctional Facility, NJ
Edwin Montanano was born in Nagcarlan, Laguna, Philippines on February 23, 1947 and graduated from Mary Chiles School of Nursing. He moved to the US in the early 1970’s where he met the love of his life, Annabelle, who he shared over 43 years of love and happiness with. They both worked as Registered Nurses at St. Michael’s Medical Center where their children, Matthew and Michelle, were born. He dedicated 36 years to St. Michael’s before retiring in 2012. A dedicated nurse and mentor, he came out of retirement to work part time at Delaney Hall then Hudson County Correctional Facility. Edwin had a deep for his family and loved having fun. Giving selflessly to others came naturally to him. He was caring, generous, loving, funny, supportive, and kind. He truly enjoyed spoiling and playing with his four grandchildren - Amelia, Madelyn, Thomas Edwin and Matthew Brian and spending time with his wife, two children and their spouses Jessica and Brian. He is missed so deeply.
