JOHN CARECCIAN

Emergency Medical Technician and Rescue Squad Chief
Woodbridge Township Ambulance and Rescue Squad in Iselin, NJ

On April 17,2020, John P. Careccia left this world doing what he loved- helping others. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and Pop-Pop, who is deeply missed every day. He lived a life of service. He worked for the Port of Authority of NY & NJ from 1966-2000. He retired in 2000 and started his new career with the Woodbridge Ambulance & Rescue Squad. In 14 years he went from EMT volunteer to Chief of Operations. John was the perfect blend of humility, kindness, wisdom, humor, respect and charity. His legacy will live on in the hearts of others. In his memory each month, his family does a "pay it forward" act because that's something he taught us to do. Rest in peace, dad, your crew has the watch from now on.
