Jeff Baumbach, 57, was a seasoned nurse of 28 years when the novel coronavirus began to circulate in California. He’d worked in the ER, the ICU and on a cardiac floor. Hepatitis and tuberculosis had been around over the years but never posed a major concern. He’d cared for patients who had tuberculosis.

ARTIST - ELIZABETH (BETH) HEDGES is a New England-based artist, graduate of Boston College, who has exhibited at Sharon Arts in Peterborough, N.H. and the Guild for Boston Artists.  She has studied watercolor painting with Vicki Coots and Barbara Fox in California and classical oil painting with Shirley and Numael Pulido in Hancock, N.H. (for eighteen years), and more recently, Kelly Carmody and Viktor Butko. She enjoys painting outdoors and in her studio, as well as teaching.  She has recently moved her studio from N.H. to the Boston area.
