BRITTANY BRUNER-RINGO, RN

Originally from Oklahoma, when she would pick the family vacation, it was always to New Orleans, a city full of life. Nursing was Bruner-Ringo’s passion and to some extent, her inheritance. Both her mother and her grandmother, who helped raise her, were nurses. The profession suited Brittany's personality — upbeat, empathetic and eager to help. “She was just kind-hearted. I don’t think she really thought of it as a job,” said her sister, an Oklahoma social worker. “She never complained about her job, even once, as much as we talked.”

ARTIST: ROBERT MARKEY is an artist who has worked in many media over the years  including painting, sculpture, installation, video and mosaics.  He has done public art projects in cities around the country.   He has done mosaic murals in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Israel, India, Afghanistan & the U.S. He has done painted murals with refugees in the U.S. and Greece, and with tribal painters in India. He currently works out of his studio in Ashfield, Massachusetts and teaches at the Springfield Museum School.
